La Femme (JMC 2021) – Organisée du 18 au 23 décembre 2021, la 7ème édition des Journées Musicales de Carthage adopte un nouveau concept et marque une identité tournée vers la valorisation des talents émergents africains et arabes.
Dans cette édition 2021, les prix et les compétitions ont été abandonnés au profit de la valorisation des projets musicaux originaux exportables à l’étranger.
Les critères de sélection des différents groupes issus de la Tunisie de l’Afrique ou du Moyen Orient ont pris en considération les différents points suivants : la créativité et l’originalité du projet proposé, la qualité de l’interprétation et de l’exécution des compositions présentées ainsi que l’exportabilité du projet.
S’agissant de l’exportabilité du projet, le comité de sélection a pris en compte le nombre des membres du groupe, la nature du produit proposé et son interactivité avec un public étranger ainsi que le caractère structuré du groupe musical (présence d’attaché de presse, manager…).
Le comité de sélection se compose du musicien et l’actuel directeur du Festival International de Carthage Imed Alibi, du violoniste et compositeur Zied Zouari, de la directrice du département de musicologie à l’Institut Supérieur de Musique, Ikbal Hamzaoui et du guitariste Hédi Fahem.

For the promotion of creativity, originality, and exportability of emerging African and Arab talents
The 7th edition of Carthage Musical Days, taking place from December 18th to 23rd, adopts a new concept and marks an identity geared towards the promotion of emerging African and Arab talents.
In the 2021 edition, prizes and competitions have been abandoned in favor of the promotion of original musical projects exportable abroad.
The selection criteria for the different bands from Tunisia, Africa, or the Middle East took into consideration the following different points: the creativity and originality of the suggested project, the quality of the interpretation, and the execution of the compositions presented as well as the exportability of the project.
Regarding the exportability of the project, the selection committee took into consideration the members of the band’s number, the nature of the product offered and its interactivity with a foreign audience as well as the structured character of the musical group (presence of attaché press, manager…).
The selection committee is made up of the musician and the current director of the International Carthage Festival, Imed Alibi, the violin player and composer Zied Zouari, the director of the musicology department at the Higher Institute of Music, Ikbal Hamzaoui, and the guitar player Hédi Fahem .
